Coaching a brand president through a biotech launch

Executive coachingBrand storytellingMedia tour prep

Garnier brought me in to write the messaging and coach its leadership team — including brand President Marc Balard — ahead of the launch of “High-Tech Nature,” the brand’s strategic biotech vision. I shaped the story of Garnier’s new science-led era to clearly explain its motivation, technology and results.

Later, I was also brought on for the launch of Garnier’s first-ever global ambassadorship with Gisele Bündchen, preparing Marc Balard for the media tour. This was a high-visibility moment where the messaging had to hold up under real scrutiny.

Getting a C-suite stage-ready, twice a year

SpeechwritingExecutive coachingPublic speaking training

The leadership team of European neobank Qonto takes the stage in front of the entire company twice a year to present their biggest achievements and ambitious targets. For these Qonto Summits, I guide the C-Suite through scriptwriting, presentation skills and audience engagement.

The job isn’t preparing one voice — it’s five or six different leaders and emcees, each with a different comfort level on stage, and all needing to project confidence and humor. The stakes are high: the better they communicate their work, the more support and success they will have for the next six months.

Alongside Summit prep, I run group workshops for managers across Qonto’s European markets on public speaking and impactful communication, so these skill sets don’t stay locked at the top of the org chart.

Editorial writingSEO/GEO contentAudience engagement

For more than three years I’ve written year-round editorial content for VivaTech, Europe’s largest technology conference, aimed at driving brand awareness and event registrations. A few recent pieces: “Sustainable AI: Energy Consumption in the Data Center Era”, “Collecting Healthcare Data: Ethical Dilemmas and Solutions”, and “The New Space Economy: Trends, Growth & Opportunity”.

During the event itself, my work shifts gears to producing newsletters twice a day for 200,000 attendees. My goal is to drive audience engagement by highlighting the biggest moments and must-see innovations.

Putting a face on 'quality' for a pharma workforce

Video productionInternal communicationsOn-camera hosting

“Quality” is easy to put on a slide and hard to make people feel. For Servier’s “World Quality Week,” I interviewed four executives and presented an internal communications video to explain how quality shows up in the company’s day-to-day process and values.

Corporate communications need clear messages and executives who sound like people instead of press releases. I channel the same instincts that have shaped my years of live TV interviews, just tailored for a company’s workforce.

A global workforce doesn’t get to know each other by accident. For AXA, I hosted two internal podcast series — Radio Go! and IM Talks — built to introduce employees to the leaders and projects shaping the company.

I understand the engagement techniques required for successful audio storytelling — descriptive language, expressive voices, and a rapport between the interviewer and executives that makes the listener feel like they are sitting at the table.

The L’Oréal Brandstorm finals are a multi-day live production with real stakes for the competitors on stage. For the 2025 and 2026 editions, I scripted speeches and the 1.5 hour finals event while coaching the emcees on delivery and stage performance.

It’s live-event pressure in its purest form: no retakes, a script that has to capture a crowd, and speakers who need to be ready for anything.

The instincts of a working journalist

Nearly 20 years of international reporting under pressure.

Charli James anchoring at the France 24 news desk, with the Eiffel Tower lit up behind her

Since 2017 I've anchored and reported for France 24 News, a broadcaster reaching more than 500 million households. I've interviewed diplomats, business leaders, and experts on the stories shaping global politics and economics.

Before Paris, I spent a decade in New York working for some of the biggest media companies in the world including ABC News, Reuters, The Huffington Post, and NBC.

My experience covering everything from presidential elections, mass shootings, fires and the Olympic Games taught me how to distill a complex story fast, stay calm during breaking news, and above all, be accurate.
